What people had to say about OnTrack

Attending OnTrack programme has encouraged me to follow what I want to do and given me confidence to try and achieve my dreams. It was so good. Thank you!

I learnt that setting goals is helpful to those who need it, which includes me, and that your reputation is different to who you really are. It has changed me by helping me be organised. It has also given me confidence in my playing and my attitude has improved.

I learnt that we all have more potential than we think we have, and it has changed my character and given me more self-confidence. Student.

My son is not an exceptional athlete, although he plays football for college and is a qualified lifeguard, but he enjoys sport and is a very coordinated and determined sportsman. Ignite Sport programmes have encouraged his strengths to enable him to build his leadership and confidence through activities where he must engage and collaborate with other to achieve common goals, while having heaps of fun. I have a son starting in Year 10 at college who is very much hoping that they can continue the programme for his year level as he has heard from his brother how much the older kids have enjoyed it.

I think, for boys especially, teaching leadership and confidence through sport is a great initiative. My two boys are fairly typical of male learners I think, and they do not do so well sitting down at a desk to learn, but do very well if that learning is in a physical context. So teaching our young men to be confident in a setting they thrive in is very practical. There are also some young ladies in the group, and for them it is equally important. Parent.
